Chart cm is approximate foot length for label matching — not a lab internal cut. Use the cm converter to map foot length across brands.
Superstar often feels long because of the rigid shell toe, so many narrow and average feet size down half to cut heel slip while the midfoot stays snug. Wide feet usually stay TTS for volume. Some brand-wide charts still label TTS — production and foot shape split the camps, so this stays Partial.
Sources: SoleFeed Superstar (about half size large; wide often TTS) · Hibbett Superstar (slightly large; half down if narrow/between) · SizeChartGuru Adidas (lists Superstar TTS — mixed with the size-down camp) · RunRepeat Superstar lab (slightly large; IL 270 mm @ US M9) · methodology
Adidas uses a 1-size women’s→men’s US gap (not always 1.5). Convert your women’s US size with this model’s fit offset built in.
Adidas Superstar’s shell toe adds dead space at the front even when the midfoot feels narrow. That is why length advice and midfoot feel can disagree.
Conditional: (1) Narrow/average feet wanting locked heel → half down. (2) Wide feet → TTS so you do not crush the forefoot. (3) Between sizes → prefer the size that keeps a thumb of toe room without skating at the heel.
Do not copy Campus 00s TTS or Samba narrow habits blindly — Superstar is its own last. Leather softens slightly; the shell does not shrink.
The RunRepeat cut on this page (US men's 9) lists 27.0 cm internal length (270 mm), 91.3 mm forefoot, and 66.5 mm toebox. Adidas chart cm for that same US 9 is 26.2 cm of foot length; US 10 is 27.1 cm. Internal length is mid-pack — the page already says the shell-toe dead space, not a wildly long cavity, is what drives the size-down camp. That is why this stays Partial: brand-wide charts still label TTS while owner/lab notes call it slightly large.
66.5 mm toebox at US 9 is the snug midfoot people feel even when the shell makes the shoe seem long. Half down for narrow/average feet is a heel-slip correction against that dead length, not a claim that 270 mm is oversized. Wide feet staying TTS keep the only volume in a 91.3 mm forefoot; sizing down into 66.5 mm is how the shell-toe last pinches. The converter is set to −0.5 US for the average/narrow case — wide feet should ignore the auto-downsize.
The wear-box maps Stan Smith US 10 to Superstar 9.5. Stan Smith is the TTS leather court reference; Superstar adds the rigid shell. Do not copy Samba's TTS-but-narrow rule or Campus 00s TTS onto this last. The shell does not stretch; leather upper softens. Chart half-steps here are 26.2 → 26.7 → 27.1 cm — use them for heel lock, not to invent extra millimeters inside the shell.
