A very common pattern is sizing down half a size from other Nike runners or from a “true” Brannock reading, especially if you like a cleaner silhouette without toe dead space. That said, foot shape still wins: high-volume or wide feet may stay TTS and accept a slightly roomy look.

The AF1 last is not as aggressively narrow as Cortez or some Air Max 1 colorways. Width complaints are less central than length and overall bulk. The midsole foam is firm by modern standards; there is little “break-in” in the foam itself, but the leather upper softens and the shoe packs out slightly.
