How this Nike → Converse chart actually maps

This is not a 1:1 US ladder. Nike US 10 is 27.1 cm and the nearest Converse US is 9.5 (EU 43) — the wear-box already says “Nike 10 ≈ Converse 9.5.” Nike 9.5 (26.7 cm) also maps to Converse 9.5. Nike 8.5 (25.9 cm) and Nike 9.0 (26.2 cm) both land on Converse 8.5. Several Nike half-sizes collapse onto one Converse label because Converse’s printed cm steps do not line up with Nike’s.

Chuck Taylor and Chuck 70 are long canvas lasts. Many people already half-down in Chucks for heel slip. If you take the chart’s Converse 9.5 (from Nike 10) and then half-down again because “Chucks run big,” you have stacked the centimeter match on top of a fit offset. Convert once: either use this table from a TTS Nike (Dunk/AJ1), or start from the Chuck size you already wear — not both.

AF1 wearers who already size down should not feed that smaller Nike number into this table. The chart drop from Nike 10 → Converse 9.5 is length matching, not a Chuck-slim rule. Half a Nike size is 26.7 → 27.1 → 27.5 cm. On this page that window still sits on Converse 9.5. Width in Chucks is a separate canvas-volume decision from the US number the cm column picked.

FAQ

How do I convert Nike shoe size to Converse?
Match by foot length in centimeters on each brand’s chart. Example: Nike US 10 ≈ Converse US 9.5 (about 27.1 cm). Then adjust for the specific model’s fit (runs big/small/narrow).
Is a Nike US 10 the same as a Converse US 10?
Not always. Labels can map to slightly different foot lengths. Use the cm column, then check model guides on both brands.
Which direction should I read first?
Start from the brand you already wear, then open the model fit pages linked below — lasts differ even when charts match.

Clothes sizing uses a separate compare path.
