Does the 530 run big or small?
RunRepeat's owner-fit summary describes the 530 as true to size. Its tested sample had a medium-width fit with some extra room, rather than a universally wide toe box. That makes the measured-size label a reference to check, not a promise for every foot or every 530 release.
Width and toe space: what was measured
RunRepeat reports internal mold values of 94.6 mm at the widest point, 69.3 mm near the big toe and 30.6 mm in toe height, using methodology 2.2. These are the cited reviewer's sample measurements, not our measurements, the New Balance width chart or a conversion from foot width to an order size.
Do not assume that an above-average sample width makes every 530 suitable for wide feet. Assess pressure at the sides independently of clearance in front of your toes. If extra length weakens heel hold, a larger number may not solve a shape mismatch.
Men's/unisex and women's US labels
The official New Balance chart gives separate US men's and women's labels for corresponding UK/EU entries. For example, US men's 8 corresponds to US women's 9.5, UK 7.5 and EU 41.5 in that chart. This is label conversion, not a recommendation to add 1.5 sizes for fit.
