Brooks US 10 is 27.1 cm and the nearest New Balance US is also 10 (EU 44). The printed ladder is 1:1 from US 6 (23.5 cm) through US 13 (29.7 cm). The wear-box “Brooks 10 ≈ New Balance 10.0” is that centimeter match — it does not say Ghost 16 and 990v6 share a last. Both columns print EU 44 at that US 10. New Balance source pages on this site often list 27.2 cm at US 10; here the source is Brooks, so US 10 stays 27.1 and still lands on NB 10.
Ghost 16 is TTS as a high-volume daily trainer — use Brooks B/D/2E instead of oversizing length. Glycerin 21 matches Ghost-style TTS length with a plush ride. New Balance splits by width letters: 574 and 990v6 publish D / 2E / 4E; many 550 and 9060 colorways are D-only. A chart-matched Ghost 10 in 2E can still pinch in a 550 D and feel similar in a 990v6 2E.
Convert from the Brooks size that fits in length with the correct width letter. Do not copy a Ghost 2E habit onto a D-only 550 as extra length, and do not half-up 990v6 because Ghost felt snug in B. Half a size here is 26.7 → 27.1 → 27.5 cm. That is a length tweak, not a substitute for matching D to D or 2E to 2E.
