Altra sizing is defined by the brand’s FootShape (wide toe box) geometry. Length can still be TTS while the shoe feels “huge” up front compared with a tapered Nike or Adidas last. Our Lone Peak 8 guide marks runs wide (Verified) — that is a width/volume call, not an automatic half-size down.

How to size Altra

• Do not size down solely because the toe box looks empty — Altra designs that space on purpose.
• Match foot length (cm) first; then decide if you need a wide sibling in another brand instead of a shorter Altra.
